Threads in Process invites visitors into the inner world of textile artist Kelly Mead, where photography, digital design and hand stitching merge to explore the human experience through fiber.
This intimate solo exhibition trace’s Kelly’s artistic evolution -from her early sketches and textile experimentation to her newest fiber portraits-and reveals the layers behind each work, from photograph to pattern to stitch.
Anatomy of a Commission
A behind=the=scenes display tracing how each portrait begins with a photograph , evolves through digital design, and culminates as a hand stitched artwork. Visitors can see every stage of transformation
Digitized Children’s Drawings- A Custom Service
Preserve your child’s imagination in thread. Kelly offers a custom service to digitize and mount childern’s artwork as fine fiber art.
