Elevate: A Group Exhibition of Fiber and Textile-Based Art

A group Exhibition at William Scofield Gallery

We are seeking fiber and textile-based artwork that challenges, uplifts and redefines the boundaries of the medium. Elevate is a juried exhibition focused on showing that fiber art whether sculptural, stiched, woven or natural can stand confidently in the realm of fine art.

Submission Guidelines:

Eligibility

  • Open to artist 18 and older working in fiber, textile, or fiber -adjacent media

  • Both 2D and 3D works are welcome including but not limited to:

    • Hand or machine stitching

    • Quilting, weaving and felting

    • Soft sculpture and mixed media

    • Basketry or works using natural materials (e.g. reeds, rope, plant fibers)

  • You may submit up to 3 works for consideration

  • All submitted works must be original and for sale

  • Maximum size: 24 x 36 (including any framing or mounting)

  • Work must be ready to hand or display and remain for the full duration of the exhibition

Artwork Requirements

Entry Fee

  • $20 for up to 3 works

  • Entry fee is waived for local artists (within 75 miles from Vancouver, WA)

  • We are waiving fees for local artist as part of our commitment to supporting our creative community. Artist from outside the area are invited to apply via form below with the entry fee which goes to help cover promotional and administrate costs.

Sales and Commission

  • All artwork must be for sale.

  • The gallery retains a 30% commission on all work sold

  • Artist will receive payment with 30 days of sale.

Shipping and Delivery

  • Accepted artist are responsible for shipping or delivery for their artwork to the gallery:

    • Shipped work must arrive between August 7-10

    • Hand-delivered work must arrive August 9-10 between 1-5 PM

  • Artists are also responsible for return shipping and must include a pre-paid return label if applicable.

Key Dates

  • Submission opens: June 10, 2025

  • Submission Deadline: July 20, 2025

  • Notification of Acceptance: July 25, 2025

  • Delivery Date Window:

    • For artwork being shipped August 7-10

    • For artwork being Hand-delivered:

      August 9-10, between 1-5 PM

  • Opening Reception: August 15, 2025

  • Exibition Dates: August 15- September 30, 2025
